Session 4-B:

This seminar will review specific cybersecurity considerations, practices, and training required to reduce the attack surface of vessels, crews, owners, and guests. Attendees will learn about vessel network vulnerability assessments and methods of mitigation, including essential system architecture modernization recommendations and managed security solutions. This seminar is for refit and repair facilities, new build facilities, project managers, and captains.

Dr. Jay Lasner

Chief Executive Officer, Bluewater Crew Training USA

In addition to his senior management responsibilities at Bluewater, Jay has spent considerable time becoming educated in cybersecurity, privacy, and the new EU data protection regulations (GDPR) in general, and specifically as it impacts yachting and the maritime industry. He developed and moderated the first cybersecurity program at the US Superyacht Summit in 2017, and he has been instrumental in developing the first cybersecurity course offered at Bluewater.

Sean Donnelly

Founder and CEO of RESOLVN

Sean holds a BS and MS from the U.S. Naval Academy and Boston University, respectively. He also holds certifications in CISSP, GPEN and OSCP. While on active duty as a U.S. Navy Cryptologic Warfare officer he worked for the National Security Agency (NSA) before becoming the Technical Director of the Navy’s largest defensive cybersecurity department. He has developed various threat detection tools, trained service members on detection techniques and led critical security operations around the world.
