Evolution to Smart Bridges

Corey Ranslem is currently the CEO of International Maritime Security Associates, INC (IMSA). He has been working in the maritime industry for over 24 years in security and risk management, eight years with the U.S. Coast Guard. Through his extensive background and experience, he worked with the team at IMSA to develop the award-winning ARMS (Automated Risk Management Solution) software platform. He holds an MBA from Georgetown University and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga.

Erik Speyer is currently a Superyacht Specialists at Bluewater Books and Charts. He is an avid boater and developed a passion for the water from a young age prompting him to get his USCG master’s License and pursue a career in the marine industry. Technology is also a big part of his life as he worked as a computer programmer before coming to Bluewater and holds a B.S. in Mathematics. Erik enjoys spending his free time on the water and searching out new maritime related technology.

Mark Theissen is currently Director Yachting Americas for Marlink, Inc. He is a Massachusetts Maritime Academy graduate and has an international business & sailing background that he has been marrying with his passion for technology. He lives and breathes the digital transformation and has been an avid industry advocate holding board & committee positions with YPY, MIASF etc. As director of Yachting Americas, he is responsible for all aspects of business-critical communications solutions to enable vessel owners to sail with a peace of mind whether for pleasure or business. He also has an extensive background in Bridge systems which are also offered by Marlink Group. He loves spending his free time with family and friends on the water or in the mountains.
